Dumpster Rental in Salt Lake City, Utah

Roll Off Dumpster Rental Terms and Conditions

Hauling and Disposal Fees

Haul fees are charged each time a dumpster is delivered to a customer’s job site. Pricing varies based on location, job requirements, and dumpster size.

In addition, a tonnage fee may apply depending on the type and weight of refuse, such as municipal solid waste (MSW), construction and demolition (C&D), recyclables, or inert materials. To promote environmental sustainability, all waste is processed at indoor transfer stations rather than landfills, incurring an additional disposal cost of $0.05 per pound. Disposal charges are typically assessed after the dumpster is collected.

Extra Fees

– Dry Run: A $150 fee will be charged if a service is requested but the customer fails to provide driver access to the dumpster, or if the dumpster is overfilled, obstructed, or cannot be serviced safely.
– Extended Container Use: Additional rental charges of $10 per day will apply if a dumpster is kept beyond the agreed period. If a customer requests a swap-out, the rental period resets.
– Relocation: A $150 fee will be charged to relocate a dumpster to better suit the job site.
– Contamination: An additional $59 per ton will be charged for customers who contaminate dumpster loads with hazardous waste or mix non-inert debris (e.g., trash) with inert materials like dirt, concrete, gravel, or asphalt.
– Special Handling: A $150 per hour fee applies in cases such as, but not limited to, drivers leveling overfilled dumpsters, moving objects to access the dumpster, shoveling snow, or waitingpossibly waiting due to customer-caused delays.
– Mattress/Box Spring Disposal: A $25 fee per mattress or box spring will be charged.
– Trip/Mileage: For services outside Salt Lake County, a $4 per mile fee is assessed to cover additional travel time and fuel costs.

Customer Authorization, Payments, and Company Right to Lien

The customer warrants they are authorized to perform work at the property where dumpster services are requested. All invoices are due upon receipt. In the event of non-payment, the company reserves the right to place a lien on the property until all invoices are paid in full.

Placement and Scheduling

The customer confirms that the designated dumpster location can support the weight of the dumpster and any vehicles required for transport. The company is not liable for damage to pavement, surfaces, lawns, fences, shrubbery, septic systems, irrigation systems, utility lines, or private wells. On the scheduled pickup day, the customer must ensure unobstructed access to the dumpster. Failure to provide access will result in a dry run fee as outlined above.

Do Not Overfill

Dumpsters are considered full when waste is level with the top rim. Overfilled dumpsters cannot be legally transported until leveled. Customers requesting service for an overfilled dumpster will incur dry run fees. The company may remove excess debris to ensure safe servicing, with special handling fees applied as outlined above.

Response Time

The company strives to accommodate same-day service requests. However, weather, inventory, or mechanical issues may prevent this. Customers requiring guaranteed service times should coordinate with the company in advance.

Do Not Move Dumpsters

The company will place dumpsters according to customer instructions. Once placed, dumpsters must not be moved, as doing so without proper equipment may cause damage. Customers will be charged $150 per hour for repairs to dumpsters damaged by unauthorized movement.

Prohibited Materials

The following items may not be disposed of in dumpsters: toxic/hazardous waste (e.g., paint, oil, batteries, chemicals, TVs, computers, monitors, insecticides, herbicides, pesticides, cleaning supplies, propane tanks, asbestos), tires, appliances containing refrigerants (Freon), railroad ties, dirt, concrete, asphalt, or sod. If prohibited materials are found, special handling and contamination fees will apply as outlined above.

Concrete, Dirt, Rock, Gravel, Sod, and Asphalt

These materials require special handling due to their weight. 30-yard dumpsters may not be used for these materials. Misuse will result in the customer being responsible for offloading and dry run fees. Rentals for these materials must not be contaminated with other debris to allow for recycling. Customers must follow the company’s strict guidelines for these services. Contaminated loads will incur dry run, special handling, and/or disposal fees as outlined above.
